Like all us creative people we sometimes suffer a mental block so in those cases I flip through mags and hope that starts a spark. Most of the time I make impulsive decisions. I love to come up with my own idea’s, I love to scrap with my favourite brands and products. I like to do things how I imagine my projects to be.
How do you choose your supplies?
All my layouts and BTP Projects plus cards are designed with products I love. Remember if the colours in the photo’s don’t match your photo you can always use Black & white or sepia photos.
Not as often as I would like to as I have just been so busy. As often as I can, mainly of an evening or if I have time on my days off work.
I definitely could not estimate how long a layout takes me as I will work on it till I am satisfied otherwise I will not be happy with it. Sometimes I will arrange it, let it sit, then fiddle till I am happy. So I admit it I am a fiddler.
What technique do you love but are yet to try?
At the moment I have seen some nice stuff done with paints and rub ons. I would like to explore and experiment with this further.
Not overly important I like to journal to give information on the
picture and dates but I don’t see the importance of doing full pages of
writing on each layout.
Almost never…
My photos, the story in the photos and the latest products that are on the market.
I basically scrap on my kitchen table, that fine with me , I can live with that.
I prefer to scrap alone at home otherwise I don’t get anything done plus I have everything set up and I like to use my computer.
What advice would you give to new scrapbookers?
To buy some magazines from the newsagent or scrapbooking store to start with. Flick through a few for idea’s . This will allow you to see what people do when the scrapbook. Don’t just buy products without a feel the craft as you may just wast your money. I also think being a beginner less is best. Don’t try to create something to intricate and difficult.
I have my own blog called Creative Scrapping. I use it to put my scrapbooking work on.
To achieve a career in designing further than I have as I just have a passion for designing and creating.
For my son to achieve all things in life that he desires.
To just enjoy every opportunity that comes my way.
I have a passion for all things crafty
I work part time at Spotlight.
I am a single mum with one child.
I love cats.
My new hobby is also finding old friends on Face Book.
